Finding Our Encino Lab
Located right off of Balboa Boulevard, our medical laboratory is across the street from Encino Medical Plaza. Our laboratory and the other medical buildings within our vicinity are surrounded by residential neighborhoods. Our lab is less than 10 minutes from our Tarzana fertility clinic. This proximity makes for easy transportation of samples from the clinic to the lab.
Designed for the Highest Level of Care Learn About Our Medical Laboratory
Our Encino Lab Offers Many Benefits For Patients All Over the Globe
Our lab undergoes a rigorous annual inspection by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). We are proud to be consistently accredited by CAP and other organizations, such as the Food and Drug Administration. Our CAP accreditation represents our ability to maintain accurate test results, keep up with changing technology, and meet every safety standard.
Isolated and Filtered
The Center for Fertility and Gynecology's reproductive lab was built from the ground up. This allowed us to customize the lab to our precise standards. The lab is isolated and uses an advanced air filtration system to provide the cleanest, safest air for our samples. This level of filtration allows us to minimize any damage to the eggs, sperm, and embryos stored in the lab.
High Success Rate
Our laboratory produces highly successful results. While the national average success rate for patients aged 35-37 undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) is 44%, our laboratory's average is well above, with 77% of egg retrievals resulting in pregnancy and the birth of a child.
Our Encino assisted reproductive tech lab was built in 2002. We've stayed at this location for over 20 years in order to ensure consistent results. Remaining in a single location has allowed us to maintain the high quality our lab offers.
The Center For Fertility and Gynecology Delivers Personalized Treatments
Dr. Michael Vermesh opened our first fertility clinic in Los Angeles in 1987, and relocated to Encino in 1990. His mission was – and still is – to provide patients from all over the world with cutting-edge reproductive care. We are able to achieve high success rates thanks to our state-of-the-art technology, highly educated doctors and embryologists, and our personalized approach. Every patient's treatment is personalized from beginning to end.
Evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of infertility and reproductive disorders is accomplished by creating methods that work for your unique circumstances. We welcome all future parents, and offer single patients and LGBTQ+ families specialized fertility services.
"We've been so fortunate to experience success." Our Fertility Patients Experience Life-Changing Results
My husband and I consulted with a few IVF clinics, and there was always something holding us back from pursuing treatment despite years of struggles in conceiving. With a complicated medical history and several early losses in my past, I was nervous to have to explain my whole background to Dr. Vermesh but he listened patiently and was supportive from day one of our wishes. Ultimately, we've been so fortunate to experience total success with Dr. Vermesh and his team (pregnant after 1 round of IVF with only one ovary to work with).View on Google
Nothing but great things to say about Dr. Tolou and her team. They took amazing care of us every step of the way from scheduling, seeing us, and helping us to get and stay pregnant after many failed attempts. Dr. Tolou and her team truly care about you and helping in your journey. I wish we could keep Dr. Tolou as our regular OB. She is an amazing doctor and an amazing person. Also a huge thank you to Juliana and Tiffany, they were/are wonderful to deal with and always made sure to take great care of us as well. They truly care and have a passion for their work.View on Google
Performed at Our Lab
IVF is a transformative fertility treatment that can help patients struggling with getting pregnant. At our CAP accredited lab, our embryologists combine your, your partner's, or your donor's egg and sperm to create an embryo for fertilization. The embryo is stored at our lab until it is transferred to the mother or surrogate.
If you're planning on getting pregnant at a later age, but want to ensure your eggs are viable, we offer egg freezing services at our isolated, highly filtered lab. Egg freezing is also common if you have a medical condition that may affect your fertility.
If IVF hasn't worked out for you in the past, we offer tubal embryo transfer (TET). During TET, the embryo is transferred to the fallopian tubes, rather than the uterus. For patients with cervical obstructions, this process may help achieve successful pregnancy.
