During IVF, an egg is fertilized in a lab setting so it can develop into a viable embryo. The embryos can be tested to help increase the probability of successful pregnancy before they are transferred to the mother’s uterus.
Careful Screening and Testing as Part of the Process
Part of the testing and screening process for IVF involves pre-implantation genetic diagnosis/screening (PGD/PGS). PGD and PGS help us screen for genetic conditions and chromosomal abnormalities that could put a pregnancy at risk.

If you do not have viable eggs for IVF or it is risky to carry a child to term yourself, we also offer egg donation and surrogacy.
Egg Donors

Surrogacy
Surrogacy is when another woman carries a child to term. This is a good option for women who are unable to carry a child to term themselves or who have experienced multiple miscarriages in the past and want to avoid further pregnancy loss.
There are two kinds of surrogacy:
- Traditional Surrogacy - In traditional surrogacy, the surrogate is artificially inseminated and carries the pregnancy to term. This means the surrogate is one of the genetic parents of the child.
- Gestational Surrogacy - In gestational surrogacy, a viable embryo from IVF is transferred to the surrogate who carries the pregnancy to term. This means that the surrogate is not one of the genetic parents of the child.
