Finding the right fertility physician usually involves many steps.  Most patients perform a lot of research on the internet, talk to friends and relatives, and confer with an OB/GYN or two.  Next come phone calls to different fertility centers for information on the doctors, prices and success rates.  After all that work, many patients find that their perfect fertility doctor may not be just down the street.  In fact, He or She could be in a different city, county, state or even country.

At our practice, we are accustomed to patients from out of the area coming to us for fertility care.  In fact we have had patients from each of the 50 states as well as from many dozens of countries.  Our staff is fluent in a variety of languages including: Spanish, Hebrew, Russian, Cantonese, Mandarin and Italian.  Further, our satellite office locations in Bakersfield, California and Thousand Oaks, California make it easier for patients beyond our local area of Los Angeles to access us.

When caring for patients from beyond our local area, we use a variety of tools and technologies to maintain our exceptional standard of care.

Consultations

We are happy to schedule consultations through Skype or by phone.  Our remote consultations usually last around 1 hour and include a comprehensive review of medical and fertility history as well as detailed discussion of fertility treatment options.

Monitoring

For patients going through IVF, we have a wide network of clinics at which patients can be monitored through ultrasound and blood work.  While remote monitoring can add to some extra expense to the total cost of the treatment, it is often less expensive than spending extra time away from home.

Satellite offices

Our satellite offices in Thousand Oaks and Bakersfield serve to extend our availability to our patients.  While these offices do not offer all of the services and capabilities of our main office in Tarzana, the satellite offices make it so that patients can limit their trips to Tarzana by 20-40%.  For example, during a standard IVF cycle, a patient will be seen in the office roughly, 6 to 9 times.  For patients using the satellite offices, they may have to go to Tarzana only 3 to 6 times with the other visits in our satellite office closer to their home.  This difference can be significant when considering work schedules, child care and the busy pace of many of our patient’s lives.

If you have questions about picking the right fertility doctor, feel free to contact us, we are happy to speak with you.
