Panel Discussion

Our very own Dr. Kalan was honored to participate in one of the panels titled “Letting go of having genetic offspring”.  During the session, Dr. Kalan spoke about becoming a parent through egg or sperm donation.  Further, he explained why he believes that people over-emphasize the role of genetics in defining parenthood.  You can watch the session here http://fertilityplanitshow.com/videos/letting-go-of-having-genetic-offspring/

The other panel members included:

Melanie Notkin: an entrepreneur, author, speaker, marketer and the leading voice of the nearly 50 percent of American women who are childless.  Melanie is founder of the website savyaunti.com.

Tracey Cleantis: a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, psychodynamic psychotherapist and writer.

Dr. Janis Goldman: a Clinical Psychologist and Psychoanalyst, as well as an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychology at UCLA.

Lisa Manterfield: an author, blogger, speaker, and coach. Lisa is also the founder of lifewithoutbaby.com

Exposition Hall

In addition, the Center for Fertility and Gynecology sponsored a booth in the exposition hall at the event.  The venue allowed CFG physicians and staff to interact and discuss fertility with numerous patients and professionals.
